XIBOA HEALING

XIBOA stands for „Chi-Body-Awareness“ and the importance of being accountable with our vital energy, in a healthy relationship with our emotions, aligned with our soul's purpose - and the empowering healing-effect this awareness has on our whole system and perspective on life.

Zen Shiatsu

ZEN SHIATSU

This Taoist massage technique includes intuitive touch, comfortable pressure and stretching adjustments of the body’s physical structure to balance its energy flow. Zen Shiatsu treatments focus on deep relaxation, breathing and balancing the body’s meridians, or chi-pathways, which is the ground of all healing in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The benefits of a Shiatsu massage can be felt on many levels. It activates your blood circulation, unblocks tense muscles, eases deep tissue and balances your energetic streams, which in Traditional Chinese Medicine is seen as essential for a healthy organism and a vital life.

Most of my clients say they are able to focus better and feel their body more harmonized and present after a Shiatsu session. Continuous treatments can be very supportive in times of transition or personal development. Each session is an individual approach – based on what the body needs.

„This is a truly beautiful experience.

It‘s so much more than a massage, I really feel much lighter and happier. Thank you for rebalancing me, time and time again!“

– Liz Sharma, Lisbon

Chi Flow

CHI FLOW

Chi Flow is a modern interpretation of traditional movements from Qigong, Tai Chi, Makko-Ho and other Asian exercises that activate the flow of energy in the entire body.

The mix of stretching and meditative movements support a healthy breathing rhythm, a more balanced flow of your body‘s energy and a more focused mind –  with a long-term effect.

It was developed as "Chi Concept" by my Shiatsu teacher Jochen Knau himself, practicing Aikido and Zen-Shiatsu in Berlin for more than 20 years.

"Even a tense person is a relaxed person whose attention lies only in the tension."

Learning

In summer 2016, I decided to learn Shiatsu at the Institut für Harmonische Bewegung in Berlin, where Jochen Knau, who teaches Shiatsu and Aikido for almost 20 years and is a member of the

DGAM (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Alternative Medizin).

In 2017, I graduated as

“Practitioner of Zen Shiatsu – for health, wellbeing & personality support” and continue studying to deepen my knowledge.

Practicing

In 2017, I moved to Portugal, to work as a Zen Shiatsu practitioner. After exploring different areas of Portugal, I settled down in Ericeira (40 mins from Lisbon). I give my Shiatsu treatments and Chi-Flow classes at my own studio, at co-working spaces, retreats and wellbeing-events. I feel a fulfillment in creating a deeper awareness of our own body, the chi that flows through it and the possibility to balance and sensitizing it for our wellbeing and healthy living.

Sharing

I organize retreats, courses and holistic events for people who want to learn more about bodywork, breathwork, emotional release or chi flow.

The first exchange-retreat by the collective was held in Sintra, Portugal in October 2018, together with other practitioners, to exchange workshops and knowledge related to our work field, to inspire and learn from each other.

Chi has substance without structure, and it possesses energy qualities but can't be measured. It is the fundamental power underlying all the activities of nature as well as the vital life force of the human body.
